Has anyone used the venturi tube?
it eliminates the flat spot in the stock carby

I'm pretty sure that is for the US version carb, which is different to the one we got here in Aus.

I have a flat spot in mine, so should i just rebuild the carby and then see how it goes

That's what I'm doing eventually probably your choke is sticking open for some reason or another...

Hey mate I had a bad flat spot in mine and secondly my choke would stay on from time to time. Thirdly ,my idle would always run higher when it was hot.
The problem was the previous owner messed around with the carby and put the choke return spring on back to front and forgot to put the spacers back on the choke (the shaft that holds the return spring)
The second problem is a very common problem with suzuki carbies that is the coolant passage gets clogged up simply take the coolant lines off the back and blow them out with high pressure air in the reverse to the flow of the coolant.
To add to that suzukis that have been sitting around for a long time without being driven the wax diaphragm goes hard and the choke will not operate correctly
If that is the problem get ready to spend a few $$$$ they are not cheap.

I thinkl damo is correct on this.

If your 1.3 engine does not have the Hitachi carburetor with an inlet hole near the top of the carb's throat where the part fits, you do not need it.

It DOES work on the US-spec Hitachi carb, though!
