I am putting a 1.6 block with 1.3 head (head is shaved 50 thou) I have 4/2/1 extractors new 8 mm wires and a newly rebuilt Carby.
If you have tried a few cams or have one in your G13 or G16 orwhat I have can you let me know how they are?
I have heard a few names tossed around but I want to know from the people that actualy have them to tell me what they are like.
What kind of price should I be paying?

On the subject of cams, does anyone know what is the best for midrange revs, stock, or is it worth going aftermarket.
I have a webber and a very short 2" exhaust after 4-2-1 extractors, so, do I put up with this till I am sick of it then go for a 1.6l, or change cams.
My little car is quite rusty, as it is a beach machine, and I would like a new body, or maybe buy a stocker in good nick and swap my good parts over, so I am unsure which way to go. Maybe piss it off and buy a Rubicon.

I was quoted about 500 for a crow cam, maybe go with the 1.3 GTI twin cam head conversion. Or do a regrind job on the standard cam.
