Title says it all... just wondering if theres any particular order you need to take the screws out of the head when taking it apart? also if anyone has any info on a falcon alternator that would be good.. im pretty sure the one i have is the one that allot of ppl use on their zooks.. what do i need to do to make it fit onto my engine?
Cheers Myles

The plan is for me and dad to take it apart (just to save the mechanic doing it and charging a fortune) and then get him to put it all back together for us. Anyone want to come and help? someone with experience of course. petrol money, coffe and home made chocolate cake provided lol

Get a FSM and a torque wrench and DIY. Post questions on here if you are unsure of anything. Do you have a straight edge and a set of feeler gauges? You want to check the face of the block too, no use having a nice straight head if your block is warped. This is covered in the FSM.
As gypsy said it's a piece of piss.

The block was machined about 7,000ks ago so it should still be fine shouldent it?

It should be, but assumptions are the mother of all fuckups.
Check it and make sure.

Scawnc, I think its time you taught your girls how to wash a car.
Stekky, I've seen your lawn. Sorry I don't have a slasher.

Hi Myles, mate if I were you I would take the head to have it checked out, corrosion can be a killer, if you have doen a head gasket there will be a reason. Patterson Performance at Pickering Street are good and very reasonable with price we have had a number of heads done by them.
As the boys say the job is simple and you only require basic tools, I am at Ferny Grove and you are welcome to borrow one of my torque wrenches.
