got any pics? you might have a bit of trouble getting it rego'd. as far as i know the body has to be newer than the running gear if you are doing a body swap in QLD. Also do you have a body lined up? If not i might have one for you in a couple of weeks.

well check with the DOT before you do the body swap because you might run into issues with the year models. got any plans for the leafy rolling chassis?

Zook_Fan is on to something, a leafy body wont have intrusion bars in its doors, and maybe other things So yeah I second his check with the Transport authority.

The dump pricks don't know shit from clay....I would be very surprised if they even payed that much attention to it. Tell them you rolled it and that the leafy is a replacement body, act stupid when or if they question it. If salvagable, put the coily front clip on the leafy to make it blend in a bit better.

im not 100% shore what too do yet i have a mate that has done the swap. so i can copy him. but i think i might just get the leafy registered so i have a car too get around in.

what Rusho said could be the case but its not a chance i would be willing to make without checking. I'm sure you could probably do it and get away with it but people also get away with rebirthig, doesn't mean its legal.

yea i will have to do something my coily is one of the best ones i have seen. cleanest interior and only 76000 K's bought it of a old couple that have owned it there sense new

well if all the drivetrain is that new it would be worth it to wack another body on top. if you do it you should look at grabbing anything coily specific that is salvagable though. if possible use the front clip, doors, door trims, dash, seats. that way it is going to look as much like the original as possible.

is the leafy the same colour as the coily? you'll need to swap your coily wiring harness in as well.

yes you can but its a bit of work. you may need to swap a few mounts from the coily into the leafy but you can get it in there. just don't try and put a roll cage in there.
