Boring crankcase to suit big cylinder
 The cylinder fits
So does the head
Studs are too short now and they are an oddball size that is going to be fun to find

The pitch is to coarse, they wouldn't go in more than half a turn.
I will probably just tap them out to 8mm

one of my mates has a chinese KYMCO CVT scooter, that's got a big bore kit & head, larger carby, expansion chamber exhaust & different weights & other stuff done to the CV Transmission... it absolutely flys, it struggled to get past 50kph originally & that was with the speed limiter bypassed.

Bloody slow postage from overseas somewhere. You think I would have my stuff after a day or 2.
I am waiting for the crank now and can't even do the porting without it.

dont mention that.. some one coff coff ball will get angry
i actualy had a thought the other day...
since the cvt trans explode regulary.
whats stopping u geting a thumpser box (yep u hate them but hear me out)
and a 125 bore carbi head etc off 125cc dirt bike, something with the same stroke surely some one like you can match that up..
if you get a good lyfin box it will take the power easy, u will then have a clutch and a 4speed box?
just a idea

Infact...
Lifin 125cc has a bore/stroke 54mmx55
Rm125cc has bore/stroke of 54.0 mm x 54.4 mm
i know rm is water cooled But surely there is something that will be a easy fit

The bottom end in a 4 stroke bike engine is all wrong for a performance 2 stroke. You need to try and keep the crankcase volume small to help scavenge the fuel air mix up the ports into the combustion chamber. 4 strokes tend to have quite a large crankcase volume.
Go and have a look at some you tube videos of hotted up european scooters. They would destroy a 125 thumpstar.
The variable speed drives and the clutches are all tunable and parts are readily available.
