Hey guys

Ive just bought a mk3 gti and want to swap engines with my sierra, but dont know of a good mechanic that can do a good job of it "without" ripping me off

Does any body know of one or can help me in any way ?

do it yourself. most general mechanics wont do that sort of work. Get the engine in a then gat an auto elec to wire it up.

Make sure you have everything to do the job inc angle drive (or way to get around it), a way to connect cooling system to radiator etc etc and maybe put a beer and bbq day on at your joint and see who of the auszookers clan rocks up.

I'm sure if you spent $200 on beer and eye fillets you'd get a few of us guys around to help you put it in ;)

Certainly cheaper than paying someone to do it! by the way I'm not volunteering...just an idea :helloo:

Pretty tight for time at the moment but maybe could squeeze in some time in June or July...
