brought rancho rs5000's
As for the kit
not to bad springs are a bit to soft. caster bushes supplied are total rubbish!!!!!!!!! lasted about 3 months. shockies lasted about the same. spings in rear have sagged about 1/2"
no entended bump stops etc.

just had new shockies put in .
Transfer case cross member cut and re welded a u" bent steam pipe in as the drive shaft was hitting.

looking at getting the gearing done next month or so along with some 6" springs and 2" body lift
hopefully running 32" tyres.
still alot to go

Not going to happen mate! The panhard rod fowls on the spring once you go over 4.5inch's of lift with the springs, so unless you are going to move all the springs mounts, shocks mounts the pandhard rod will fowl on the spring and why the hell would you want to go that high anyway :? ?

If you look at the ORA car, they are running 4.5"lift with 2" Bl with 33's! This is the way i would go, chop the guards, extend the bump stops, lock it gear it and keep it low 8)

JMO of coarse!

well mine has the tough dog kit a body lift and i have moved the diff forward, a bit mor chopping to the flare and a bit more on the back i could easily run 33s, i just wouldn be able to hit sand dunes at high speed but crawling would be no problem

 wooow are you sure?????.... seems you re just trowing numbers there donno hahaha

IMO 31s re waaay more than enough for a jimny... heaps of ground clearance (more than other big rigs with 33s or 35s)... also if Im not wrong 31 is pretty much the top of wht the jimny driveline can handle... more than that is just asking for trouble

and 6" springs plus BL????? men have u look under the plastic/steel wheel arch.... there is heaps of space there u just have to chop chop to get it..... and if u want to let ur factory look flares there is a guy in the bigjimny site who design flares that optimize the wheel arch and look factory (he's running 33s in 15x8 rims)... or buy the japanese ones too

with your 4.5" lift u have enough space there to ft the 31s if u chop chop.... if u want more ad a bit of bodylift... but 6" i think is just crazy... u are entering in a more complicated suspension custom design... and adding a bodylift in top of that is waaay too much IMO

and out of curiosity where re u gonna get 6" springs for jimny??? the longest available re the 4.5 that u already have

well good luck wiht ur monsterjimny build... and post more pics of it :helloo:

hey guys.

yes the car is getting worked on atm. getting it all sorted and ready so it will handle the bigger lift and tyres.
once all done i should beable to go to a 34" tyre max but IMO thats to big !!
Gearing is getting done.
springs will be custom.
shockies are suited all ready to run a 6" spring .
2" BBL will be going in soon....

engine.

Ported and polished
re mapped/tuned
full exhause
Air intake
just for now.

i do have a sc12 charger waiting to be put on :( its just a very costly process.
