OK so i am building a W/T diff for the front of my coiler atm...

specs are

3.9 c/p second hand, will set tolerances as tight as within spec will allow.
wt flange
powertrax locker
Rock Assault 4340 Chromoly Axle Shafts
vit calipers
all new bearings
i will laminate all arms
housing has been shaved, trussed, crown wheel guard and knuckle gussets.

is there anything else i should look at doing? i am wanting to run 34inch tires so lots of load on this one! and i would like to not have to touch him again other than usual maintenance

not much to add on to the build..

i will also be doing a similar amour of work to the rear housing (w/t) so any ideas that way will help

Try a 4 pin front center, I know 3.9s usually come with them but I thought for everyone else it was worth mentioning...

use a solid pinion spacer not the crush spacer.

aparently one of the hilux ones can be used.

there was a discussion on this a while back and it was decided that a solid spacer wasnt really needed

I dont think you need half of the crap in your original post to run 34's , just cromos and locker

Isnt front dig when you have rear disconnect and a line locker?

make sure you set the castor properly for your ride height and go back to stock suzuki rubber bushes if you've been using castor correction bushes.

prob wont go line locker, will just get handbrake working spot on.

yeah dank thats all under control. i will be setting the caster to 4degrees at ride height with standard arms... i will be making high clearance tube arms but with the option of using a stock arm if the situation calls for it.
