Ive searched and havent quite found the info i need. Im in the process of swapping a g16b into my sierra and am gonna run with the standard 5 speed, my question is will a standard clutch handle the power or is it worth the extra money and going with a heavy duty unit. Im running 4.9's and 31's so i currently dont really have to slip the clutch offroad but with the extra power im not so sure about high range. Also what brands are worth looking at and where to get em. cheers guys

Get a standard EXEDY clutch. They are more than up to the challenge og a G16B.

the surfaces that clamp together are more important to grip,
and life of the clutch,
than the tension that they are under.
Heavy duty often means just a harder spring plate,
hard work on your leg,
and a bitch to the cable on cable operated clutches.

Fatz, Im hoping to do an engine exchange soonish, I know you always say exedy, so I went in search, found this.

There is 2 clutches for the g13ba, which in in my car now, both have the same years, how do I ID which engine series/clutch for the toy.

Are you sure its not fly wheel differences? you can get flat and stepped flywheels..

There are 2 different spline counts for the sierra gearbox input shaft. That is why there are usually 2 part numbers. One is everywhere, and the other is so rare it may aswell not be mentioned.

Not sure which is which though

So its pull the donk out, ID the spline count, then order the clutch, dam, was hoping to have everything ready, oh well.

There is 3 of one and only one of the other, it may be the single, SZK 6293 is the rare bird, so order the other.

Can only fail.

bringing back the unused one.
