Gang,

I have been looking at getting some new radius arms for the front and rear. For the front i will either be getting jimny bit's 4" radius arms (once released) or ORA 4.5" arms. But for the rear i come across these

They are a 2peace arm i would think they would help the rear end flex right?Also help stop some of my binding issues to? But the thing putting me of these arms ATM is i'm not to sure how they would handle on road?

Any one know how these arms would go on road? I would really like to know...

wont make any difference, even with a joint there its still a triangle and as everyone that went to primary school knows triangles are pretty strong and dont move

if the short link was adjustable it could be used to correct castor though

Y not just spend the money and get some one to flip the factory arms ontop of the diff
That way u end up with the arms flat again which will Handle and flex heaps better
U could put a johny joint in the chassis end which should help stop the arms from bending when flexed but wont stop the bind at the diff end .

pretty jimny arms are made recycled sigma's & camira's...

If there any think like coily arms the biggest problem is people not running soft rubber bushes in them .
Plastic bushes have no place in a radius arm because the arm bends before the bush does

I'm running the factory rubber bushes in the rear...and it's binding at the chassis end first....(will double check that on the week end)

That's what my coily used to do that's y I think Johnny joints at the chassis end would help a bit
Mine bent a rear arm from twisting it so much

This!!! It has already started to twist

Gwagonsteve think's another solution could be to drilled the hole at the chassis mount 10mm lower so the arm has nothing to bind on....

just keep driving it put a locker in and it will componsate for the extra 3mm of travel your gonna get

The diff mounts break before the arms do, I've broken mine 3 times now...

I don't how people can compare a locker to having extra suspension flex, they are two very different things. Depending on the situation lack of either of them can cause sticky situations.

if u re gonna buy the ORA ones, u re better off buying the whole kit having the rear too... keeping it all under the same design/company

plus, why do you want more flex? u already have heaps... u want more flex start designing a custom new suspension system

Monkey, I can see how the extra bush in the arm you are looking at will offer 1 more bush to flex but this been the only benefit, might be all you need.

have you considered this 4 link setup for the rear?



rubber bushes are a must in Jimny suspension it needs the flex and why caster bushes are not worth their weight in the performance benefits.

it looks to be a bolt on kit right? Might have to look into getting that kit....

cause u can have as much suspension travel as u like but with an open center diff as soon as a bit of weight comes off the ground the wheel is gonna start spinning
but lockers and reasonble flex is ample

might have to designe some new front shocks eh monkey

they dont seem to be long enough
