so i have a 2,5 v6 gv it feels like the spark is breaking down on low rpm not sure how to test the coil pack indervidualy?
and any one know where to get some good priced new ones?

get a spark plug and put the coil on it,make sure you earth out the plug on something on the motor, and also make sure you dont touch the sparky end :crazy: turn it over and you should see a nice blue spark if you used a new plug out of the box :helloo:

Be careful with look the same - Suzuki used two different coil packs which are externally identical, the connector is the way to tell them apart - it can be 2- or 3-pin.

The 2-pin style were used on the early J18's, J20's & H20's, the cut off year was I believe '97 - the 3-pin style is used on the later vesions of the above mentioned engines, the J23's and the H25's & H27's.

The 3-pin coil packs have an ignitor transistor, the 2-pin coils packs are used with a separate ignitor module mounted on the firewall.

mine are 3 pin 99 model
so is this a good price?

im suprised some smart person hasnt made a replacment from another model thats cheaper and easier to obtain and hopefully more performance type

yeah good price, just the quality of the actual coil is unknown.... i guess you can be the Guinea Pig :wink:

suzukistore sell the just the probes for that sort of money
