Lately my Jimny has been idleing like crap and the check engine light comes on.
Also I remember the other week I disconnect to battery to get some wires through the fire wall.
So I'm guessing I cleared all my codes, how do I get them back?

Get the code and post it :hello:
If it still has a problem, it will come back.
Its OK to leave the little bridge wire in and keep driving around for a week .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. .. means its got no simple codes.
Removing the Dome light fuse will clear your codes to, from memory.

Do you know what the starter look's like??
You could try tapping it & hitting the key at the same time ( 2 people make this easier.)

clicking sounds like not enough battery power to throw the starter motor solenoid, when you say jump starting do you mean roll the car and pop the clutch while in gear, or do you mean connect another car's battery to yours?

Once started does it run properly? Have you tried starting again after a good run?

would it not be the starter motor? the battery seems to be able to handle aircon, radio and lights while running, also wouldnt it have started when i used the jumper leads to another car?
dont get me wrong, it would be great if it was just the battery....

Stop by an auto electrician, he'll test the voltage and then you know.
It could be mud and crap in the starter but 90% it'll be the battery. Starter cranking takes a lot of battery power, A/C etc not so much.

I had a similar issue as to what your describing....replaced the battery...never been a issue sense! Can you take your battery some where to get tested?
