Hi guys,
So i've just gotten back from Pedders and been told my Shocks and Bushes (both shackle and eye-hole) on my '92 sierra need replacing and that the leaf springs and steering damper should be changed but not as desperately.
Ideally i'd like to do the 2" OME lift:
http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Ne ... int&sid=23
But can't afford to do it in one lot and so am forced to look at the alternatives.
The lift in the link above i've priced at $760 + a steering damper
I can get standard shocks for $200 and bushes for $70 but can't find replacement standard springs!
I don't really care about the extra lift, but because i can't find anyone who sells standard springs i'm forced to ask:
1. Is there a shock option that will fit both the standard (sagged) leaf springs i have AND the 2" lifted OME if i eventually get them?
2. Is there a decent standard sized leaf spring available that i've missed in my searching
3. How bad are the ebay kits? Would it be worth buying shocks and bushes for my car now and then replacing the whole lot down the line with something like these:
Blupac
Blupac Basic
Any advice about the questions or suggestions as to how to get these costs done will be very appreciated.
Cheers,
Rob

Steering dampener (Gabriel) $40
Plus you said you can get bushes for $70

When i called ARB (Canberra) they quoted me $202 for the front springs, $222 for the rear. Are your prices with a discount or am i being ripped off?
Where are your shock prices from? Super cheap is selling their gabriels for $50 each here.
Also, if i did that, the steering damper and Bushes would be the the only bits i could put in separately right?

Ok i've decided to wait until i've got some cash then do the full OME lift in one hit after Christmas.
Where is the Commo/hiace shocks special on at zooky?
Also, is the 2" lift going to do anything noticeable to my stability at speed?
Cheers

I found it improved funnily enough.

I would give OME the big miss... try Tough Dog, Dobinson, EFS instead, much better quality, and usually cheaper as well...

replaced my OME with EFS fronts, rears are still OME... ive found its a much nicer ride, flexes better but the suzuki lean is much more prominent... overall a much softer spring.

Anyone have experience with lovells springs? As i said, i don't need the extra lift. Am mostly interested in the best ride for a reasonable price.

Only heard good things abour Lovells springs...
But... Blupac is pretty good gear, i know one Perth Sierra that has the Blupac shockies on it, and they seem to work great, no problems... so if you can afford them, maybe you should get them...
