So if your making it longer does that mean your making the tray longer?

Joe wrote: So if your making it longer does that mean your making the tray longer? Tray is already longer. I hate trays that finish flush with the chassis, and refuse to build them. The tray currently finishes 300mm behind the chassis, so even after a 150mm chassis extension, the tray will be long enough. The idea is to fit a front shaft in the rear, and I've guestimated that is about 190mm longer.

This tray is still short, but at the moment there is about 450mm from rear of tyre to rear of tray. You can see the sunken floor in the middle of the tray. The rear cross bar will be the raised, relocated upper shock mount also.

I’m impressed, except that hammer is way too small.

Lots of time with the grinder means less time with the hammer There are atleast 50 hand notched sections of tube on the tray, and counting. I think the hammer was used to remove the old tray, which was a square slab to carpet hovering over 4 legs, held in place with bird shit.

remydog05 wrote: Will this be CCDA Fatzook? The reason I ask is because the drawings they have on there website dont really suit a trayback, softtop from what I can figure. http://www.ccda4wd.com.au/images/Rollov ... 060428.pdfCan't see why not. The design principles are the same. The materials used qualify. The only thing missing is the taxi bar.....

as long as whatever you come up with is closely followed by
"it'll be reflected in the invoice"
don't suppose it matters.
