These things look like a great time-saver. Has anyone used them? (I think you can get them from here or here)

I bought a bleeder thing from Supercrap, Hose with a ball/checkvalve. Easy to use and was cheap also.

I think 5? on a sierra.

One for each wheel/brake and one for the little block inside the chassis under the drivers seat.

One per caliper/ cylinder.

They replace any manual bleeder that you have. So on a sierra, that one for each of the front calipers, and one on the rear, thanks to the crossover brake line.

Thanks FZ. Thought it was one for the back two for the front but I thought there may be one on the prop valve.

I've only ever bled brakes from the calipers. They are the lowest point.

You need 3, but they are sold in pairs. Enjoy

What I've done is retain the factory bleeder but then connect the inlet side of the speed bleeder with a bit of clear hose. That way you only need 1. So you connect the hose/bleeder to the factory bleeder, unscrew the factory bleeder by 1/2 or 2/3 a turn and pump the pedal.

sometimes you have to bleed at the valve thingy as well, some NT 1.3 will also need 2 for the rear, split lines

Cool idea, but how crap are your cars if you really need to bleed the brakes that often

I just fit them to my car while I own it. Then replace with stock ones before sale, and fit the speed bleeders to the next one when it gets a pad change or something. Its just easier to do when you don't have an apprentice to press the pedal for you

She is getting better I guess, not like it is something that is done often though.
