Is the bell housing pattern the same from the jimny g13bb to the g13a??
Without having a look I wouldn't have a clue an all you more Suzuki educated people might no!
I would expect them tO be tho?

I want to put in an auto box in the Sierra but quite happy being a slow poke with the smaller engine.

Any help appreciated

yep its the same bell housing

its an electronic auto, thus none of the inputs in needs will be available from a carbie 1.3

you would be better off getting the jimny 1.3 and doing efi at the same time

Or just go with the 5 speed it will fit and u could use a manual pedal assembly providing there still cable not hydolic on the g13bb

G13BB Jimny autos are rare as. Sierra autos don't exist. The only Sierra autos were f6/K6 engined 660cc japanese market cars. They are a three speed and would, I think, be terrible.

Jmd - if you already have the auto and decide not to use it, i'm happy to take it off your hands

If you are set on keeping your carb 1.3 then you might want to check out a vitara 3 speed install (with or without the 1.6L carb engine swap), or step up to a 1.6L EFI with the 3 or 4 speed vitara autos.

why would he want to put in a jimny manual gearbox in his car, when he already has a manual gearbox to start with, he wants a auto unless the jimny manual is stronger then sierra gearbox then theres no point at all.

There was one being wrecked out not far from me and if it was going to work (which i didnt think it would) i was going to use it.
unfortunately its gone now, otherwise i could have helped you out with it.

Ive now decided to go the 16b swap with a 3 speed auto.

i have no problems doing the injection swap would just rather stick with carby for some reason!

Autos were available as an option here, and off the shelf in japan.

I fitted an import coily motor and auto to this bad boy.

I can't comment on an import coiler - it wouldn't surprise me if they were available as an option in Japan with a G13, but I have never heard of or seen an auto Australian delivered sierra. I also bought all the Australian 4WD mags right through the period the Sierra was on sale and never once saw one referred to on a price list, reviewed or mentioned. I have seen some weird stuff reviewed too, like a WT high roof in overlander magazine in late 1988.

Has any one else seen or heard of a factory sierra auto?

Does anyone have any more information about this?

I've seen 3 in total. One was the front cut import, one was an aussie delivered factory SJ80 auto, and one was a WT sierra.

I guess that it is possible that the WT was an import jimny, but it was not badged as such.

Also the import coiler auto was a 3sp.
