Wanting to install a dual battery system into my 93 wt but not 100% sure on how to install it
Just want to do a cheap and basic setup

I'm not an expert but I have an in line dual battery set up which uses no isolator or switch just a second battery on the other side of the engine bay and big fat dual battery cables running between terminals and hasn't given me any grief and works well for the winch and other accessories

Hey mate, this may interest you in a cheap easy do it yourself duel battery tray
I first purchased one of these
http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... escription

I used the lid only as it is the perfect width of a 58 Century battery, i then simply got a pair of tin snips and rubber mallet and cut the size i wanted and hammered the corners and pot-riveted it all together.

Hope that helps

There's redarc isolators on eBay for reasonably cheap... I think I have a spare one liking around here if you're interested?

Got some ideas now
So do i need to join both terminals on both batteries or can i just connect the positive terminals nd earth out the second battery to a spot on the body
Ive got a tray from super not so cheap at all just gotta get some cable
Does it work better with an isolator switch nd is it needed

How you wire depends on why you're adding the second battery.

The primary reason to add a second battery is for additional capacity, some people want to use that capacity for longer run time - fridges, etc - with the engine off, and to avoid draining the cranking battery - in which case an isolator is needed - other people want to use that capacity to provide greater current for winching etc., - in which case you can just parallel them.
