Once again members of az I'm calling on your help, recently I noticed my thrust bearings gone, with this booked in to be replaced I'm looking at doing the clutch at the same time I'm just not sure what one to go for, heavy or just normal. Thanks for the help

Heavy clutches suck. I broke 3 cables in a weekend then removed the clutch and put a standard one back in

It is possible to get a heavier clutch with little difference in pedal difference. I purchased a standard EXEDY modified by NPC in Brisbane. They claim 40% extra clamp pressure for negligable extra pedal pressure, and I didn't notice it when I got it back on the road. Whereas, Exedy HD is 25% extra clamp with same pedal pressure increase.

I have ben extremely happy with mine. Handles the extra power well and does no smell nearly as much as the original.

You will get sick of the heavy pedal bud. Not as easy to control and maintain foot pressure when wheeling.

I can dump my clutch at 6000 rpm in 2 nd low while dragging my 1400kg boat off a beach and have zero clutch slip.
That is with 33 inch tyres and a stock clutch. I don't understand why people think hd clutches are the go. Get ya gearing right and ya will have no issues.

A heavy duty clutch won't last any longer than a standard there's still the same amount of friction material. You just have more clamping force which typically means more pedal pressure, more strain on clutch cable and firewall, more driveline shock when you dump the clutch.

G13 only produces 100nm, many use the standard clutch with a g16 so just buy standard. They are cheap and easy to replace in a Sierra anyway.

You gain that extra pressure with no increase in leg effort by having a longer pedal throw, which on a Vitara is a right pain in the ass cause there isnt enough already so the clutch doesn't fully release and kills cables

Yeah but his isn't a Daily Driver (DD), it's really only a Once Every Few Months Driver (OEFMD) so longer pedal throw wouldn't bug the bugsta.
