my SIerra/LJ diffs have well over 300mm of diff clearance after shaving

a 1.3 pumpkin can be shaved more than 20mm

I shaved 26mm out of my 1.3 Using 5mm plate, possible to get a bit more.. but depends how close you want to go or how little material
I shaved 26mm out of my vit rear diff. I used a junk GV centre (its a bit bigger) so its possible to get a bit more.

In the jig, my sierra front has 10mm more clearance than the vit rear.

BTW fellas

It was a grave dig, to provide info for people, as apposed to rumours of this on 31s equals that on 35s.
Measuring the axles and centres etc is a bit better than comparing tyre sizes and clearance, because as we all know tyre sizes are a bit random.

Youd be better off measuring the housings mate.

That 9.5" vs Jimny comparo is pretty vague as the housings are all made differently. Axle centreline to bottom of the housing is more realistic. Even axle tube diameter is important in this topic.

But again.. Just drive it. The 5mm varations between measurements doesnt matter.
