Hey guys I'm having trouble getting the crank sprocket off the crankshaft, I've stripped 2 bolts in it and need to replace it . I've got the bolt off no worries (which is meant to be the hardest part lol) but the sprocket seems wedged on the crank pretty tight. I tried a balancer puller and there wasn't enough clearance for it so I'm kinda stuck on what to try next. Is it just meant to slide off or do I need to get a pulley tool on it somehow? It's not the fanbelt pulley on the crank it's the sprocket that the timing belt goes on I was hoping I wouldn't need anymore special tools haha

you can bolt the fanbelt pulley back on and use that to wiggle it off, if you're lucky.

Lots of penetrating oil and leave it to soak. It should just slide off

I used a bit of flat stock with two holes drilled in it to make a puller - put the center bolt back in part way for the flat stock to press against and then screw two of the four/five bolts in and tighten them down evenly - when you've pulled it as far as it will come, move the center bolt out and start over.

like atari said, put the pulley on and give it a wiggle or a light love tap. mine just fell off.
