karlmarkiewicz wrote: Alright Guys, i think I have found something. I followed what Atari said and I just drove my car normally without removing the battery for about a week, just to see if any more error codes came up... And one did! I am currently at work so it is a bit difficult for me to upload the video of the error code, but this is the one and only code pattern i am getting: blink *pause* blink-blink-blinkNow, the way i understood the manual that Atari posted, this error code pattern would equal a code 13. Which, i think, is a HO2S problem (see the attached image for the part of the table i read). Could you guys please confirm this error code with me, and maybe tell me what parts need to be replaced? I will post video when i get home. Thank you so much!! BINGO, you have a lazy o2 sensor.

get price for a genuine one from suzuki unless you've got a hookup at an auto store & can get trade prices, that's a pretty good price non-genuine from suzistore $195 http://www.suzistore.com.au/onlinestore ... etail.html

A new batch of fuel will take a few cycles to get the true efficiency figures from it one tank won;t give any difference. I keep logs of all my driving and have tested each type of fuel for at least 3 tanks in a row with a buffer in between to get the true figures and found that BP98 gets me the most +50ks per tank which oddly enough is opposite to atari. Just fork out for new O2 sensors they are worth it and need to be replaced anyway as maintenance. They will pay for themselves in a month easily.

Is that a good deal? Sco-tie wrote: A new batch of fuel will take a few cycles to get the true efficiency figures from it one tank won;t give any difference. Well i did one full tank of 98, then once it got half way i topped it back up with 98, then when that was full i filled it with 91. Not sure if that was enough to show the true efficiency, but it wasn't a huge difference. I will trial it again but more tanks. Thanks for the input guys!

my experiences with the 2.0v6: it was totally stock when i bought it and promptly changed the oil to 5W30 and put in a genuine oil filter and binned the crappy ryco (this is important) i put a k&N style pod filter (i dont like mud bogging and prefer to play on the sand/rocks) and a 2" muffler with the above setup i was getting 500-600km's out of 55L on a side note do these things have a fuel light i drove it on empty for a week and it never came on...? also how big are the tanks? i have now fitted 30" tyres and 2.5" lift and am waiting to use a full tank to know how much fuel i will be using now. my 2.0 did not like 98 octane i usually run it in everything but found the zook ran best on premo (95 octane) as said above some things to check: spark plugs fuel filter/pump air filter injectors o2 sensors throttle position sensors have not learned enough about these motors yet to know if they have a cam position sensor? if so that should also be checked best of luck with it and keep us posted

he's pretty much replaced everything in that list apart from TPS, which would be rare to fail & the o2 Sensors which has been diagnosed as the problem. slightly off topic, there is no fuel light & about 60 usable litres

Going to replace the O2S soon. 500kms is RIDICULOUS. At best i can get 350km to 60L Tank. atari4x4 wrote: Holy SH** 478km to a full tank, and your car is probably heavier than mine. WOW Hopefully one more question, apparently my car has to O2 sensors. I have found one which i believe is the O2 sensor BEFORE my cat converter (because it is virtually in the engine bay). But i CANNOT for the life of my find the other sensor. Could someone please enlighten me? Thanks Ps. sorry if there is already a thread about the O2 sensors in these Vits.

One on each back of cylinders. That fuel useage was with my chunky 31" retreads on, plus all the mods done to my silver SV430 SWB & a lazy o2 sensor + it was manual, my auto with the same set up drinks like a camel!

Yeah, good idea. Is there a way of telling which sensor is faulty? The table say Bank 1 which is meaningless to me.

I think bank 1 is LHS (passenger side when looking from the front) it's in the factory service manual somewhere, will dig it out when I get the chance.

Bought them from a store in Brisbane and work out cheaper then Ryco. Even with Ryco I still only get timing chain rattle when it's near time to do an oil change (so after several thousand km's), it's only for a second and only after not driven the car for a few days.

I don't think i have ever experienced a chain rattle, and I've used a Ryco since i've owned the car, which was only 5000 kms ago. I will probably change my Oil and the filter in another 5000 or so.
