Hi,
I have a 2005 Suzuki Jimny and for some reason my horn has just decided to not work. The fuse under that dash isnt blown. It is the one where the whole steering wheel centre is the button, not the two. Any one had this issue? Any one know whats wrong and how to fix it?

Locate the actual horn, probably behind the bumper or in the grill.
Remove the spade connections from the horn.
Either test the voltage at the connectors with a multimeter, whilst someone pushes the button. Or, supply 12v to the horn terminals and see if it makes a noise.
If you get no noise from horn, then horn is stuffed.
If you get no voltage when horn button is pressed, I would check the relay. Next most likely culprit.

My horn went ages ago. Replaced it with a spare from another vehicle. Its failed (well, its gone really quiet) to. Probably about time I hooked up my air horn.

Mr OP check to see if you haven't damaged the clock spring... pretty sure a few people on here have done it.

This is the one I have. Mounted under the wing of the bull bar. Wired with some heavy duty stuff. Can't remember the rating, but the vehicle wiring won't handle the current. Its about the dB output legal for a horn, in Australia.

Extend arm outside of window, make your hand into a fist and raise your middle finger.

For some reason I'm not being notified of any replies. But I have managed to fix it anyway. I tested the connectikns while someone pressed the button and there was power. I plugged a different horn on and it worked. So I got my original horn and there is a small hole on the back of it, i flooded it with wd40 and blew it out with compressed air. Works really well now. Also, Jezza, my horn has two connections? Mine doesnt earth directly to the car body.

Mine arrived yesterday, nowhere practical under my bonnet, I'll have to get a bit more creative with the location.

can you tuck it up in behind the front guard somewhere & protect it from the elements with the inner wheel arch plastics?

mines mounted low in my engine bay on the LHS under the rad overflow bottle... they have a breather port & mine ended up facing upwards so i just chucked on a small bit of heater hose that had a 90* bend on it to let it snorkel.

Yeah that was my first thought, a bit worried about water, salt, sand, mud. I think I'll try your first suggestion, there's an opening where the factory air intake used to be which is directly behind the headlight. Hopefully that will let the db escape.

Motorbike horns are the same as the zook ones.

If ya need one in a hurry bike shops would have them on hand.
