Hi guys, normally I would research the crap out of my problem and then start trying to figure out a solution myself. But I'm in Coffs for a weekend of wheeling and i don't want to spin spanners on the zook/waste everyones time while i could be out wheeling.

The car is throwing a CEL and stuttering when it does. It only happens when underload and below 4500RPM. Above 4500RPM it's fine and has no stutter. It's also effected by throttle control. If I am into it and it throws the code I back of the throttle a touch and it disappears but when I push back down it comes on again...

It only started happening after some 6000RPM attempts at a super steep clay hill climb.

I was thinking the cam sensor might have oil in it from being rev'd on such a slope?

I need to drive home on Monday and tow my trailer 450kms.

stutters missfires or stutters like a Sierra would have crap in the carby?

The LJ was doing that, was a blocked hose between manifold and map sensor, prick of a thing that I would never have found if it wasn't mentioned here

I would be putting my money on the coil too, not saying that that is right but its where I would look first, then cam, map sensor etc.

if its a miss, tape up the plug tubes

The only reason I think that it's a cam sensor is it stops doing it after 4500Rpm. Not like around there, it's as soon as it clicks over it just changes immediately.

From 4500-8000 it's pulling hard and clean with no miss.

it might be whatever sensor is buggered the ecu ignores at 4500rpm

cam sensor should play havoc all the time as the engine needs it to run

We got it there's an orange valve on the back of the intake that connects to the map sensor?? And it was clogged with oil... Cleaned her out and the goat is loving life again

Nah not the PVC.

Unless tim pointed directly at it i wouldn't of seen it. It's hard to spot. There is a black tube that goes to the MAP sensorand the other end goes to the orange plug thing.
