I got my gti motor in wired up with the std comp she has spark injector pulse and fuel press but wont start :cheers: fuck fuck fuck Its giving me the shits anyone want to come have a look I cant figure it out

Does it have compression? Did you play with timing? Does it have an engine check light?

i had a similar prob.. i thought it might have been the timing, a wiring prob, etc etc.. turns out it was the coil!! was only sitting around for 8 months before i put it in, but that was enough time for the coil to die!! might be worth a check!

Will check it out and yes has compresson just rebuit the motor

if its a type one you can get the tps and airflow sensor mixed up.....they have the same type plug.........

I will double check joe but I think the plugs were diferent

Just thinking it might have dry rings since it's just been rebuilt leading to minimal or no compression.

Joe the airfow wiring go's directly into the harness no plug

:D :D :D Got it running yay turned out to be a wire that runs from the neg coil to the ecu some sort of pulse wire the auto elec sorted
it Im just happy to see it run :D

Was it a brown wire, always be on the look out for the brown wire when doing the gti conversion 8O
