Hi again,

Where do you get those ball type map lights? I've seen them used in overhead consuls, but I don't want the expence (ok, can't afford) of buying one of those. Just trying to light up the interior of the Zook a bit bette than the 1/2 candle power light that's there now...and also have a map light for the boss when she's navigating...

Interior light idea.

This may sound a bit crazy but what if you rigid up one of those small fog light's, there would be plenty of light from one but the switching on/off with the door might be a problem.

I went to super cheap and got a 12v flouro. Fantastic. $12.00 You can drive with it on and still see outside the car. As for the map raeding light you could move the factory one over to her side above her left shoulder.

I have a fluro in the back of mine thats magnetic with a curly cord that lights up where I want

otherwise the flexi neck ones come from hella, not too cheap but worth it for the sanity

I like the fluro idea...but I didn't think you'd be able to see out if it was on.

do you have the steel 1 litre dash?

I used to have an interior light mounted in the glovebox, used to light up enough for a passenger to read a map with the lid open but not annoy the driver

CHECK OUT EA FALCON S PACK AT WRECKERS. THEY HAVE AN INTERIOR LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOF WITH TWO SPOT LIGHTS.

Also the top of the range sigma had them too. You can get a whole sigme for $50

I do have a steel dash...1L. Putting a light in the glove box is on the agenda too....

I'm trying a cigarette lighter type map light at the moment. I've taken the plug off the base, drilled a hole in the passenger side plastic end cap on the dash. It stands up against the left-hand windscreen pillar, and can be bent forward when in use. I have to rewire it though...should look alright.

I use a super bright LED onthe end of a bit of stiff wire so I can aim it where I want covered the whole thing except the end of LED in heat shrink to tidy it up works great very small uses bugger all power

can easily read by it

drilled a hole in the bolt and jamed the wire in it to mount it
I'll get a pic when I can but kind of looks like one of those lights that ya can plug into a USB port on a laptop
