i have a 93 sierra with a calmini 5inch kit
and i was wondering how i can get it to flex more
wat can i do without taking out leafs and drop shackles

Can i just get this straight.

You want to get more flex without changing your suspension?

The only thing that might help that i can think of, is longer shocks, and that will only help if your shocks are limiting your down travel.

the calmini shocks are shit. i inverted my rears and put commodore shocks on the front.
i also didn't use the shackle reversal stuff and just used extended shackles instead. without the shackle reversal
stuff calmini front springs move the diff heaps forward.
mine also seem to be getting better with use.

im assuming with the 5" kit you extended your brakelines? if so its proabbly the shocks as already mentioned.

I still don't know why tipping the shocks in more at the top is called "inverting"... Puzzles me. Nice rear end flex in any case Shep - you can see the length in those leaves by the shackle angles.

Anyways... how much flex do you think you can add without lowering your spring rate? AFAIK, 5" calmini springs are very stiff and need leaves pulled to get the car to work.

I think it's called in-boarding as opposed to inverting which implies turning the shocks upside down.

thats it, i couldn't remember the correct term. although i do run my shocks upside down now as they clear the diff a lot better.

You do realise that only monotube shocks (Bilstien, Koni gas, a couple of others) work upside down?

because i am going into town next week and i don't want the hassle of a defect.

Im thinking of removing my shocks, or just finding some absolutely stuffed commo+hiace shocks, painting them yellow and throwin them on.. Mine are WAY too stiff
