ok well i was thinkin of getting

Sierra 6.5.1 reduction gears for $749.00

..but im not sure how much it would cost to get put in ...and if i need a heavy clutch ...as well ..i will find out but does anyone have a rough idea of cost ?

Lowrangeoffroad has 6.5 gears, and gear install suppliment kit for US$590, after shipping and exchange rate etc, it will be cheaper than buying here.

Install you can do yourself, not too difficult. For the cost of labour to install it, you could probably buy the required tools etc and do it yourself.

If your clutch doesnt need to be changed, I wouldnt bother.
If it does need to be changed, I would also change the rear main seal, and input and output seals on the gearbox while you are at it.
I put an exedy heavy duty clutch in mine. Lots of people say HD clutches break clutch cables, but mine hasn't broken yet (25,000 km later).

If you are reducing the gearing, you will be reduing the strain on the clutch, so an HD clutch would be IMO a waste of time and money...

ok thxs i got the clutch part worked out ...my 2nd question is what should i reduce it to if i still want to use it on road is a 6.5:1 Reduction Gears
good for road use ...

6.5s and 31's would be a reasonable setup.

Although, of course, it depends on what sort of driving you do, both on and off road...
