Jonno - forget about the states- anything for a car they didn't get there (like a LWB.... or a Maruti... or a fibreglass roof- is going to cost a fortune. Why? because the US supplier is probab;y buying it from a suzuki dealer in Japan, Europe or India, shipping it, putting their margin on, and then reselling and shipping to you.

Get a maruti VIN and go to a suzuki dealer here in Aus. you might be surprised- some parts are very reasonable.

PS the screen to seal is quite complex and generic foam won't work well.

The rubber seals running along the 4 sides are a conbination of hard canvas and your typical door rubber. The back two corners have a moulded rubber foam insert bit. No rubber or seals actually fitted to the detachable roof bit.

I use seals i bought from clark rubber.

Also with the whole VIN issue you should be able to use a VIN from an early WT seirra as that roof was also an optional factory extra for them.

yeah i would risk trying something else mate, like from clarkys or somewhere. the stock ones leak anyway so what ya got to lose!

got some sticky back rubber from foam land today... appears to work well was easy to install etc... need a few new clips as the ones that came with my hard top are fucked and we will see...

I rang Darwin Suzuki and they are $260 for the factory seals. Good value I reckon

I used seals from clarks

I followed the profile of the windscreen around the corner more, and the seals on the rails I made them a little longer, and cut them to suit the seal profile front and rear, and glued the side seals to front and back seals.


It doesnt leak.

The extra leaks I found were through the B-pillar seams.

Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the cross section of the maruti front section seals? just so I can take it to an extruder and find the closest match.
