i just did an 80mm suspension lift with a 3" body and the 31's still scrub with cut gaurds.... only the front rear panel scrubs tho. the rear is fine and we chopped up his original bar making way for his custom tube bar. also a mate has another jimny with a 40mm lift running 235/75R15's and its scrubs all the time.
ill try upload some close images of the guard chop. but where still running the original flares we just cut them back a little.
jimnbo looks sick now. Good effort on doing what you wanted to and not letting other ppl's opinions faise you. Pm me your email address and I'll send you some photo's of the jimny I lifted.
People were not trying to discourage him from building what he wanted they were just highlighting some issues that would be apparent due to the tire size selected and the fact that he did not initially indicate that the gearing would be addressed...
And i know for a fact it will be poorly geared for off road use and any sniff of a hill or headwind and 5th gear is no good, first gear is more like second...Its all good and well to look fully sick but drive ability does suffer.
I'm glad he has a jimny that gives him a fatty but it will need alot more work to be a capable and reliable machine...
