Is their an easy way to remove these little plastic thingys so I can fully strip the door?

The lock one unclips from the rod then the rod can be pulled out. The other one may not come apart in one piece, can you disconnect it somewhere else?

when i replaced my door handle i used needlenose pliers to destroy it to get it off... while trying to destroy it though it somehow pulled through unharmed! haha

Dave for the first pic... Stick a large flat blade screwdriver between the black plastic and the rod and twist it. The rod will pull out of the red bit.

The second one you use a small flat blade and open the green clip and then pull the rod out of it.

Thanks guys i was going about it the wrong way.
Frustrating sometimes when you know it should be simple but just not happening. :oops:
