Smoothly taking off at traffic lights (2wd) then planting the right foot once I was moving, when the old lady in the car next to me heard the bang I swear she nearly shat herself

You do ask quite a lot of your Sierra driveline with all the ponies you're pumping through it with your set-up though ;)

the main problem is you have all that torque going through the t/case......yet the tailshafts and diffs are still having a hard time turning the wheels as they did before transfer gears, its just that everything forward of the t/case is having it easier. diff gears would help solve alot of the drama there.

Perhaps an investment in an auto as well....and some diff gears...and some fully hektic suspension....and anti gravitational shocks...

The sand would theoretically load up the diffs, at 6,000rpm in high first the other option is that someone backed off the gas way too quick without pushing the clutch causing a compression like lock up.
