hi guys
I have a problem with my donor 1.6 89 vitara auto I'm about to pull apart for the new sierra.
It was running a week ago but now its not.
I have no spark.
It's got power at the coil , fuel pump is working.
how do I check the module in the dist? It has two wires coming out of dist.
I have an x90 motor that looks the same and is a similar year but the dizzy has 5 wires coming out so no swaps to check dist
any other suggestions?
I need to move this shit barge as its in the way of my new shed extension

If it is a carby 1.6 just drop a 1.3 dizzy in... Same same...
At a guess I'd say your module is dead.

Do you have a muti meter??
Stick in on beeper, one either pole of the dizzy & crank it..

Check all the fuse's to, the tail light fuse is one of the power supply's for the ECU, it's also possible fore the ecu to be switching the fuel on but not the ing..
& give the relay's a lil tap to.. :P

ok new batt in multi meter
multi set to beep on closed circut
cranked car no beep but lcd reading fluctuating between 160 and 130 of what ever its reading.
It does however have the faintest spark but It will only jump 0.5 mm gap or less but the spark is so faint you nearly miss it.
any ideas
