This problem only occurs when i put my HUBS to LOCK. When i do this and forget about it and rive on the road when i hit 80 KPH the hole car starts to shutter and i wont go any faster. When i get out and change the HUBS to FREE it works fine again ????

Do u guys know what this is or how to fix it thanks.

Well, not really wind up unless you are in 4-HI!!!

It's probably the front driveshaft vibrating i'd say. Not the best idea to drive round with your hubs locked anyway.

ok when you have hubs locked do you have the transfer in 2wd? if you are still in high 4 you get somethign called transmission wind up which breaks things, hence Damos attempt at humour (dont worry I laughed damo )

if you are in 2wd then you have dilemmas, try doing the same in high4 but hubs UNLOCKED same vibe probably means a bent front tailshaft dead unis or it all needs a grease

if you get no wobble it could mean a stuffed front output on the transfer

or all manner of probs in the diff itself
does it do it on dirt in high 4 WITH the hubs locked?

I would get under and give everythign a good look and shake and find whats about to fall off

When is happened it was not in 4x4 it was in 2wd
And i havent been upto 80 on dirt in 4x4.

Still it should shutter as bad as it did or does

Almost certainly the front shaft. Roll under the car, grab the shaft and give it a good shake in every direction. If you get movement in the uni joints then they need replacing. If there is no movement then pull the shaft out and check the uni's by twisting. If they bind at any point then replace them. If they are all good then get the shaft checked and balanced, or just track down a second hand one. Hopefully this will help.
