my car never goes when i want it to . it is literally a piece of shit. makes me so frustrated
the car was working pefect the other day. i put new oil in it. as well as a new oil filter. now its blower alot of smoke, spark plugs are always going black, my guess is need new rings or valves. some thing like that
after all that ive discovered, theres sometimes spark, some times not at all, coil pack maaby? ive checked dizzy, clean all point, rotor button, new leads, clean plugs. still no change
when it does wanna go, when its cold it only starts when u let go of the key, WTH but when its fairly hot it starts normal, some times when you let go still. strange to me
dis morning when i went to start it, to see if there was a change. nothing but now the burnt gases and smoke are coming out of carby, nothing is coming out of the exhaust its cold as and the carby is boiling hot
has my engine finally past away. please help my lump of crap
thanks Aaron

when you say it only starts when you let go of the key do you mean it only fires then? that the starter works normally..
if this is happening check the wiring to your coil, there should be a wire that is energized when you are cranking and then it get its feed when the key returns to the run position.
A worn out ignition switch will cause this behaviour and is usually hard to trace as its intermittent..
the hot carby thing sound weird, is the heat from the heater hoses running up to the carby choke or from somewhere else?

the car fires up when i let go the key and it returns to run. so im thinking its some thing to do with the coil or barrel. starter motor is working fine
heater hoses are blocked off, not the original carby. there was like gases or smoke coming out of the carby enough to blow my filter off. carby was really hot, exhaust was cold.
did a oil change again after 5 days. oil that came out of the engine was black after 5days. change oil again still blowing smoke, im guessing its new valves and valve seating time . or i think i need to do valve clearances. one off my rockers are very loud. is this causing the grey smoke out of the exhaust cos one of the valve isnt closing properly :s
toeragz: i dont know what fuel. my car isnt on the road atm, so my mum went and got me it. mosly likely it'll be E10

just took the exhaust manifold off. looks like cylinder 3 is shot. theres black oil coming out off cylinder 3 exhaust port. started it up and it only blows grey/blue smoke out of exhaust port. taking a cylinder pressure test this arvo
does any one know what pressure it should be for g16a
