hey guys just wondering if the 1.3 litre axles and diff front and back swap with my 1lt ones
wana do the swap cause my 1lts getting a 1.3 conversion so my as well swap the axles as well anyone dealt with this before and give me some feed back ?

Are you fitting 1.3 narrow track diff's???

yeah sorry both are narrow track and i know the hand brake is different.

You will have to bolt the entire housing's in, may as well do it complete, H/brake's are on the transfer so you won't need to touch anything there..

yeah i was going to just drop the 1lts complete and bolt the 1.3s complete back up thats why i thought id ask if they would just be a stright swap also are u sure the 1.3 handbrake is on the transfer cause i know my 1lt is but the 1.3 that i have go to direct to the rear drums

Flange's will be diffrent, you will need the n/t shafts, probly would be best to change over the h/bake's as the stud's out of the drum won't fit the n/t shaft's..
All brake line's should bolt up, it's a reasonably easy conversion..

are you sure they are nt diffs? i thought it was only WT's that had the handbrake in the rear drums.

i think there both narrow track ?
and yeah i was going to swap the hand brake anyway as mine dosnt seem to work that good

i still have never heard of a NT with the hand brake in the rear drums. is it a nt that has had wt diffs swapped in?

run a tape measure along the top of the diff and i will measure mine

okay mines say a 1180mm it was raining and i did it pretty quick haha but its around that and that from say back of drum to back of drum

from the inside of rear diff flange thing that the brakes bolt to, to the opposite one is 1180mm from memory a NT diff is 90mm shorter.

get a perch kit from fatzook and a wt drag link and it will be a flex machine.

haha okay this is so wierd i swear it is a nt thoe maybe it has been converted
i brought this whole sierra cut into a custom ute and got told it was a narrow track and i was like cool so gott the whole thing for 350 with a winch and 1.3 and 5 speed like the car was complete just rusted out and painted with a house roller lol so im scraping it but by the looks on the mounts and iam about to go measure them but i think they are wt diffs but already to go into a nt so i hope i scored on that one haha

go and measure the distance between the rear springs.

i have wt diffs with nt spring spacing. approx 910mm between the springs.outside to outside.

okay went and had another look and i think it is wide track sierra
how hard is the conversion and is it that hard

if you can take a photo of the front spring shackle mount we can tell ya for certain what it is.
bogfrog did a great write up on the swap. atari is good at searching
