how much is it? if the gearing is standard then budget for another $1000 for a new clutch and trans/diff gears. thats if you do the work yourself

sounds like abit of a joke... you can pick up a secondhand starter motor for f$%K all, dont know why you just wouldnt do it. u'd get better resale.
sounds dodgey... my opinion

yeah depends on price and what it's like in real life.
bucket seats? check if they are standard or if they need approval?
lockers? is that just welded or real lockers? air lockers?
Hopefully the air compressor means air lockers, but maybe it's just for the horn?

I think it would be air lockers because a compressor for the air horn wouldn't even pump a tyre up.
There very small.
X2 sounding a bit dodgy
Cost around 50 dollars for a second hand starter motor
Only problem ull have is u can't check that it goes and if the drive line is ok(hi and low range)

there was no starter motor to start off with and the 1.3L starter motor didnt fit so not push start, which is why we going back tomo to fit and test it out

yeah i does seem sus that they he didnt change the starter motor and sell it for more
its stock relicned buck seats on sliding rails which looked like a 98wrx as i have one similar in my car atm
im not too sure about he transfer case...dont know anything about this, being a 1.6 carby vitara conversion i assume it has a bigger vitara variant transfer case?
his asking for 4.2k ono, there are 4 other ppl that came straight after me that wanted to buy the car there and then without even checking if car started lol but I put a deposit down until sunday so sus it out

The 1.3 one does fit.
Just got to grind away the starter motor body until it fits.

yeah wasnt going to do that on my mates on lol
how do we test the air lockers?
there two switches AIR COMP & AIR LOCKER FRONT
do i have to press the compressor 1st then followed by lockers?
also do i need to be in 4wd(4h/4l)??
sorry new to this kinda stuff, lack of knowledge but have to start somewhere

it will be hard to tell if the locker is actually engaging if you can't drive it. You will be able to tell if the copressor and locker solinoeds are working though if it has a battery in it...just hit the compressor switch and wait for it to pump up, then hit the locker switch and the compresor will pump up the air line to the locker. When you turn the locker switch off it should make a loud air realease noise.

x2 something about that response says dodgy. could just be his bad spelling and grammar, but "good big tires and truckers 2 way radio" sounds a little like he doesnt know much about the car... could of just had more cash than sense at the time too.
Either way I'd be a little wary

Mate...you already done the REVS check and you seem to be happy about it so id say go for it coz the parts alone will cost close to the asking price.
An already converted 1.6L with lockers is worth close to $4K anyway so if you're happy....just get it

yep we started it and all when well
but it has a rough idle sound like ford on cams - and hardly any power when compared to mates 1.3L
also there is a very strong fuel smell in the cabin, strong enough to make your eyes water
anyone can help out?
