been looking for rear disc conversions for a while, and found quite a few which would pose issues with the handbreak or sourcing the actual calipers. Some use Mitsubishi Galant Calipers, other User Rover 600 calipers. Both are near impossible to track down in the Sydney area where I have been looking.

This one thou, uses Suzuki calipers which would be much easier to find. MyddyZook sells them. The only problem is I have asked them about the handbreak, and did not get a response yet. Maybe someone here knows. This is what you get for GB95

If you can't find Galant calipers, Your looking at the wrong places. When I did a twin piston caliper conversion on my old lancer, It took me 3 hours to find a set. And they're harder to find.

From memory, A standard HJ galant single caliper are the same as a early magna front, late model magna rear, mirage front, CB lancer front.
The HH VR4 and EVO twin piston caliper are the same as late model magna front.

think i mentioned this up top. "Mitsubishi Galant Calipers" way too hard to find. The kit is also pretty expensive by the time you are finished with it.

Not to mention the material used in the above pic is WAY too thin for the application, AND welded caliper mounts are widely frowned upon by engineers and DOT's accross the country.

Shit , if i could find a set of rear calipers from a galant in south australia at the first wreckers i went to your not trying hard enough.

And they were were cheap too.

By saving a few bucks, your not only putting yourself in danger, but everyone else that's driving near you.

You haven't mentioned here if you want the car on the road, but I can tell you almost categorically that the kit you've posted will not get engineering approval in NSW. I've discussed brake upgrades with my engineer, and the first thing he insisted on was single piece mounts, no welding. They also look like they're made out of coke cans, so I wouldn't be trusting them.

Atari, I specifically said I was after rear disk alternatives to one that uses "Mitsubishi Galant Calipers". They have been too hard to find.

There are dozens of wreckers between Liverpool and Penrith, In fact there's a Mitsubishi specialist about 20mins from there.

Would the front calipers have facility for the hand brake?

took a quick look around 1 wrecker only, lots of magnas, similar looking calipers, but with differences that may or may not matter.

have you actually been out looking for them, admittedly, those galants werent hugely popular here, but they werent very hard to find. I casually walked into our local pick a part / u-pull-it they had about 10 galants.. half of them had drum brake rears, the other ones had the wrong style of calipers, but they had 1 of them in there, and got the pair for 44 bucks. Keep looking around, they're not that hard to find
