Tested the Vit up in the Dandenong's yesterday and it failed the hill test.

It's still losing pwr and hopping. If I'm in 1st or 2nd gear it's np but if I'm going up the hill in 4th and doing 60kmph it just shits itself.

Onroad it's fine. I've had it up to 90kmph on flat or slight grades and it still has more to give.

Guess I'm down to the fuel pump or carbie itself. I can't think of anything else causing the issue.

Starting seems mostly fine now. Occasionally I might have to crank the engine over twice to get it going but for the most part it's good.

How is the car on fuel? How many km to the tank? When the car stutters does the temp gauge go up?

Honestly I've never paid attention to the fuel usage. I fill it up once every 2 or 3 weeks. After selling my twin turbo 3000GT anything I drive seems fuel efficient.

I've been paying attention to the temp gauge though and there has been no increase in temperature.

Just throwing some scenarios around.

Hopping and hesitation from fuel starvation will usually result in a rise in engine temp. Cause, bad fuel pump-blocked main or secondary in carb.

This is also a symptom of spark breakdown. Cause, bad leads, plugs, rotor button, dizzy cap. Will also cause hard starting.
I would pull the plugs and check colour. If unsure post pics here.

That seller is a member of the Suzuki 4WD club and he's very good to deal with, postage is very quick.

But as they say you can only lead a horse to water, It's up to you if you take our advice.

New fuel pump installed. Can't test it for a week or so up hills though
