Hey mate just read your build thread and love the look of your zook. I just moved to goldie and am looking to get something like what you have (i was leaning towards a tin top though). My only concern to consider the purchase is that i would want a RWC or "safety certificate" as i think they now call it...? whats your thoughts?

Last time i spoke to usher44 about it he was moving away (hence sale) and doesnt have the time to sort out a RWC. Technically there are a few things which make this car unroadworthy that if you knew a guy you could get away with or some might not even notice (i.e. ruf as its set up so well) alot of others things are almost negliable and easy to fix (i.e. reverse light, sun visors, change shackels etc) my concern and reason i haven't bought this thing is the dimister setup, im sure it would be easy enough to setup with the right gear and know how but im an absolute retard when it comes to electrics and the sort and i'd need a car right away. Its a real shame though if it had a RWC i think id own it as its AMAZING
ps usher 44 if circumstances or whatever have changd feel free to write me off

ruf? what does this mean?
yeah and i too would have no idea about setting up the demister.... but that is something that i dont think anyone would check on a road worthy would they???

you do need an operating dimister for a roadworthy, its the same concept as not having a smashed windscreen and operating wipers. im sure an auto electrician could work something out regarding the dimister.
ruf refers to rear up front, its a suspension modification where rear spinrgs have been put in the front as there longer and hence provide better comfort and felxibilty. ushers ruf setup is soo neatly done i dont think an inspector would notice it unless they've dealt with ruf before and were specifically looking for it (note dont hold me to that haha).
Im actually still tempted with this car its a beauty

Every RWC I have ever had done I am 99.9% sure that the delisted has never been checked. Just buy it and stop making pathetic excuses not to have it

yeah most of the shit is trivial, i really should get my arse into gear and get it done. i think ill tackle the demister this weekend seems to be the major issue.
im not actually moving but im going on a tour around europe for 3 and a half months with freinds, so it will just be sitting in the shed so i thought id chuck it up and see if it sells.
its not really an urgent sale or any thing, if it doesnt sell now it will probably be up again later in the year with a roady.

A easy fix for the demister is to put a 12v hair drier under the dash and hook it up to the air ducting and put a switch on the dash. Peice of piss to do and will pass roadworthy. Have a few mates who have done it to drag and drift cars.

It will do 100 easily with the 1.6EFI. Revs would be around 3700-4000. Thats fairly normal for a sierra, so don't panic.

yeah fatzook pretty much summed up the revs, and it pulls 100 no worries. still not the best car for highway driving no sierras are but definatly can be done.
ill take some measurments of the tray the tray tomorrow for ya.
i made a start on the demister, should be able to make it work with the a/c unit but yeah worst case senario would be a hair dryer under the dash. its an old voltswagon beetle trick aswell.
with the 3/4 eliptical i got to the point where i had to relocate the rear spring hanger to make it work. i didnt realy want to cut it of so i put that project aside.
still got all the bits but.
