At 4,100rpm the main thing I can hear is the induction noise that having a snorkel causes, particularly if accelerating.

BUMPIN an old thread. tell me, i've had a good read through this thread and another http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... ic&t=16398 - everything leads to "GO FOR IT!!!"
considering doing an upgrade; 2" / extractors / hi flo / muffler / pod filter
i guess price can vary between $750-$1000
is it really worth the money. is the performance gain enough to warrant spending up to 1k

That seems like quite a lot, might be cheaper getting the extractors and cat online than taking it to a shop to bend and fit the pipe?

So yeah, Do it, Do it, Do it !
But shop around a bit, even $750 sounds to much to me... you can get a good set of extractors off ebay for $200 with free delivery !

Yeah thats like i said, $200 for extractors off ebay, $100 max for a hi flow cat from the US. No way the rest will cost $700

Is your a a VVT jimny? the extractors tend to cost around $350-$400. Also if i was you i wouldn't GET a pod filter, as the jimny has a air sensor on the box, so a engine light might come on, if the senor is not connected. Just get a normal K&N panel filter. Cost around about $60.

yeah wasn't sure about the pod idea. but i'll look into it further when the time comes. mines a non VVT too
with exh, all prices includes delivery; wildcat extractors about $275 / 100 cell hi flo cat $150 / sports muffler $150 thats $575
2" exh plus fitting for the lot would be minimum $200 easy. i'm thinking a bit more
thats why i've said $750 upwards.
not a fan of K&N monkey...will go for a dry type which doesn't need to be oiled.

Ok. I got my 2" exhaust bent up for $80 including pipe, i just took in the old one and told them to copy it, and just cut of the old brackets and welded them on to the new peace.
