maybe is for the cars not setup that have 31s and STD gearing that will do 120 km/h in low range but for most with gearing its not a problem...

I think the concern is somebody that may not have as much common sense skills as others reading its ok to have a stuck car running and driving while you try to push it out by yourself and the resulting removal of limbs that may ensue

My brains been thinking of an EFI type hand throttle,
I really miss it with the Vitara.
Altho its auto, so no probs on hill starts,
I do get my foot bounced off the throttle in bumpy river crossings.
Nearly got swamped with my own bow wave

Could be a switch to trip the idle up circuit,
but probably be a mechanical thing on the pedal.

You could get up to about 1400rpm triggering the AC compressor on input to the ecu

You could also fit cruise control but put the speed trigger on the Coil rather than speed output so its used to hold revs not speed, will work better in lowrange

I also have a theory that seeing the idle up solenoid is a PWM controlled solenoid (so is opening and closing rapidly with the open time increased to get higher revs) that the Jaycar motor speed controller kit could be stuck into the circuit with a knob on teh dash to control it, this would fix throttle like a hand throttle but not revs.

WTF, that HAS to be the dumbest thing I've read on here for a while...

The early landys had a throttle lock, and doing the push while engine engaged/ going was a very common thing.

Only in first low, or once unbogged, away she goes.

When I was a kid I saw this a fair bit, and even before my teens I thought what a dumb thing to do, but it was always done on soft sand.
