Pull you hubs off, give em a clean up and re-grease

yeah you'll fine one or both hubs are clogged up and not locking in and then the diff sends all the power to the unlocked axle.
i wrote a tutorial on rebuilding hubs, its in the "good tech" section.

Just make sure you read Aliens stuff well.
I am reasonably mechanically minded, and so, pulled the hubs off, stripped them, put them back together, an thought, crikey, that was easy, when I put them back on, no go ???
Anyways, ended up doing the first one about a zillion times, very simple little shit things that you dont think means anything, but well explained in aliens write up.
Once I had seen my fuckup, other side took SFA time.

Yeah, definitely check that your hubs are locking properly.
I had the exact same problem the first time I ever took my Vit out. Turns out both my hubs weren't properly engaging.
My suggestion is to check that out BEFORE you end up 40 clicks from the nearest road

I used to just engage them, then hit them with a rock to be sure they were in. Then I got the Pathfinder with auto-hubs and realised how good the manual hubs were even with their faults.

If you don't go 4WDing very often, you should take them off and clean them every 4-6 months of them not being in use. They seize up else.
