I tried asking this in July Jabberwocki so I didnt have to start another thread but looks like it go lost in everything

Will an ECU out of a coil pack grand vitara (1.6lt) work in a Vitara EFI 1.6lt 16v also will i have to grab the injectors at the same time ??

Also does anyone have a vitara wheel hub tool that I can borrow?

So the 1.6 GV's are coilpack?

Is this the same as what's in a baleno?

it may run a baleno motor, but not a vitara motor.

No.

The coil pack ignition system in the GV requires four separate ignitor drive signals from the ECU (the ignitors are built into the coil packs), the distributor ignition only requires one - the crank/cam positioning sensors and logic are also different.

Also I could be wrong, but I don't think the GV ECU will run a Baleno engine either - at least not the ones I've seen - the Balenos use wasted spark so there are only two coils (as compared to four on the GV) and they need to be fired twice as often - I've also never looked to see where the Baleno ignitors are.
