I'm going to do this install. I would like some advice. Has anyone done this using the standard ecu and loom and ignition? Was there any probs with the traction control? Also to clarify on the engine mounts, something about jimny and Sierra mounts? Thanx

Mate our M15 swift's didn't come out here with TC unless it was a Sport (M16) & that was an option, till last yr....

Just run a stand alone ECU, then you don't have worry about any other system the car ran... ( like Immobilizer)

Cheers mate that's good to know. I'm going to run the standard ecu with all the components it needs to run. Is there any problems that I may run into doing this?

The imob need's the dash cluster, the dash is "can-bus"...

Have fun, if you do work a way around using 1/2 the swift I would like to know.

Or, find a vvt jim & steal it's eng management & imob, or buy a wreck, cause you'll need lot's of bit's from it anyway, like g/box, starter, intake manifold ect, ect, ect....

Hope that help's mate.... :helloo:

Yeah got all that stuff. But not the m13a loom I think it may be possible with the m15a loom but also there may be a reason that it seems that it hasn't been done before

i can't see why you can't transplant the factory immob into the sierra, surely it's only the factory immob module, an antenna around the key barrel & the transponder key? i'm not sure on how the suzuki immob works but on a mates L series subaru, we put in a 2005 2.5L Forrester motor & transferred the factory immob all over, got a transponder key cut, then coded & it started first time.

You might be able to do it with a jimny cause its a separate box that tells the ecu its good to go but in the swift its in teh bcm that talks to everything including the dash cluster via a serial link not just volts on wires

No not yet I've been getting all the things together that I need I will be starting on it in a month. As far as I can tell the biggest issues are the vss and a hybrid gearbox needs to be made. All jimny engine components need to be used eg, inlet exhaust man, sump and pickup. As for any other probs I will only find out in a month as I'm doing it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
