Is there such a beast ?
It seems that 2/3 or all Jimny's have 235x75 tyres these days just made me think is there something other that 20/24% ?
I recon if someone did a 15% or 12% they'd sell heaps of them. (I'd buy them)

31s are 19.2% larger (if the 31 measures 31).
so your stock 4.3 needs to be a 5.12 to correct a 31... of which can't you use a vitara R&P? or does that only work for sierras?

I'd do a 12%
or
would a 15% be better ?
(if on 235x75r15)

Farck yeah!! Ill be keen on a set when I mod my jimny more in a future
I run 215/75/r15 tyres and personally I dont see the need for reduction, is bit out but not that much in order to get gears... maybe just in low range for extra crawl, but I can drive happy in HI like this
but this would be awesome for ppl runing 235's
there should be 3 options, reduction for 235's, for 30"'s and 31's .... most ppl run 235 or maybe 30
still no have a clue why trialjimny decided to create a 24%
my plans for my jimny is ti get 30's. so Ill be more than happy to see a reduction for it
also this reduction gears re going to affect Hi and Low equally???... I do would love to get a bit extra reduction in Low, im not happy with teh factory low
and here we were talking bout the reduction options
http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Fo ... ic&t=22383
just carefull as at one point someone change everything as the 215/75/r15 being a "stock tyre".... as in vvts jimnys this tyre bring speedo back to standar (but no performance), thing that is not true in pre-vvt models

i think vit fronts go in the rear of jimny's but not into the front.
@bertzook diffgears will change hi & low equally & correct your speedo.

I know that , just asking if its gonna have extra reduction on Low, or if it would be posible to do, as that would be awesome... dnt realy like the low factory %

it's not possible with diff gears to have a lower ratio in low range.

The reduction to suit 30's would be ideal IMO. I am running 235's but i upsized for the height and that little bit of high gearing to lower the revs onroad.
Also....if all goes well im definitely goin for 30's next time.

How do diff gears work ? Where do they go (can't be diff as that's where the lockers go) haha
Are they expensive ?
(I know nothing about this sort of stuff)

They go in the diff. Replacing some components. you can still run lockers. I am no expert either.

Thanks for that.
Warning, More dumb questions...So when you buy them, do you get one or two ?
And for someone who is going to take it to a mechanic to install, would it be a cheaper job than transfer gears ?

normally when you buy you only get 1 diff worth... i reckon installation cost would be similar between the two for a mechanic to do... although if you do transfer gears you also usually need to beef up the mounts.

Well, I have 235's on now and front guard and bullbar chopped.
Is there anyone who does any type of reduction gears less than 20% ?
Or will I just wait till twisted4x4 (would you have an estimated eta)? Are we talking weeks or months ?
Cheers
