Hello dudes,
I own a sj80 coily model with 2" tjm springs lift, and now i like to put some larger tires and want to share my thought with you guys and maybe make a decision, finally.
i use my car every day but also enjoy it very much on trips and off-roading.
i want to get little more clearance and ride comfort
for start i got 15" 7" rims .. and wanted to put some 235 on them, with lower gear in t/c, of course.
but,
i have read that the front axle of the coily are weaker than those on the leafy models, beside we don't have any stronger aftermarket shafts for the front axle and the bearings are pricey , in my country.
so i thought to myself may be it'l be better option to go with 215 tyres, and even change the rims to some light weight option than the 7" i just bought.
the pluses, better fuel economy, the bearings and the shafts will last longer..
and the ride should also be better with lower unsprung weight.
beside. using 1000cc t/c will also be more than adequate , and will save me money on pricey gear change on the t/c.
i like to here what do you think,
and also like to know if the magnesium 15" rims that comes with the jimny will be a good low budget option? posibly to get more light weight the standard 15" 5.5" steel rims the comes with the sierra?
is jimny magnesium will be a good light weight option?
i like to here your opinions guys.. and share some of your knowledge ..
thanks a ahead,
Ori..
