How wide do you need them? Stock TJ Wrangler flares are 100mm wide.

EDIT: sorry just found where you said 6" wide. If you need 6" wide flares then you don't really have a lot of options that I know of. On a widetrack with 31s on 15x8 -50 offset (!!!) rims you'll need about 5"of flare. If you then go to 33x12 tyres that would require a 6"flare.

BUT, have you got any idea how shit that's going to handle with that tyre & rim combo? You will really hate driving it unless it's in low range. Even then, you'll want power steer coz how heavy it will be, and turning circle will be reduced too.

$160 sounds a bit much for postage, but I don't know wether they calculate the postage based on size or weight. When I got transfer gears from them it was only $60 postage. Was only a small package, but reasonably heavy.
Anyway, I went to http://www.xe.com/ucc/ and put in the price of the flares and postage, and it's still $60 cheaper than you can get in aus. They're pretty good with delivery too as my gears arrived about 6 days after I ordered them.

$160 for postage from the US is based on dimensional weight as the box is rather large. When I was looking at buying them from Trail Tough they said they couldn't send them to me because USPS changed the parcel dimension criteria so were unable to ship to AUS. Maybe things have changed since then. Don't forget you will be liable to pay import duties & taxes on top of your cost price. Honestly, I'd buy them from Australia.

PS It cost me $120 in freight to get my flares from NSW to South Oz, so really, $160 is pretty reasonable from the US to AUST (even with the x-rate!)

That is correct but only applies if what you bring in costs you over $1000 aus.

Aussie post have size limits for parcels.

can only be 1050mm long max and some other things. SO its not the american end its here which is the problem.

You can import yourself using a fright forwarder but con't use dhl or other big companies as they cost squillions....

I have a 92 vitara and i'm finding it hard to fing flares to fit it. I have flexies on now but would be good to fing some that look better. Any help would be great thanks

The AU side is flexible... I send parcel over 105cm all the time. In this case I was told it was the US side that couldn't send due to size restrictions

I got quoted $500 for postage from us to nsw so won't be doing that. Zookernator did you chop the old flare mounting off or do they mount over it. Have you got any close up pics or of the process. Thanks

I just checked my old emails from Trail Tough, and was quoted $410 USD shipping back in 2006, so $500 sounds about right these days.

Whoever quoted you $160 must have made a mistake, because that would have been a bargain shipping rate!

Sorry.. didn’t get any pics of the process. Heres what I did:
Removed old flares, but kept the original mounting brackets on the vehicle. I did however cut slices in them, and folded them up so they sit flush with the panel (mainly so I can re-use them again if ever needed). I sat the new ones in place, and made sure they lined up with certain markings on the vehicle (eg: making sure the run parallel with the rear window etc). I marked where the holes had to be drilled, removed the flare, then pre-drilled the holes. With the screws etc that they supplied, I then mounted the flares in place (keeping in mind the fuel filler, snorkel, and front indicators). Once they were all fitted, I then trimmed them to suit with a grinder, and finshed them off with a smooth file. Was VERY easy to do..
