i thought about this

i have made my disclaimer - for off road use only plus i'll add in the ad "not intended for vehicle use". that covers my ass then.

this was a PM from another memeber

"Hey Tails your quickly becoming the most talked about perosn on the net.
Want to place a wager on how long this will go on for . 4 maybe 5 pages.
Some one has even fallen for your mass producing ."

I'm so glad i didn't take him up on this wager lol!!!

BWAHAHA

You all bag the shit out of this bloke, then the next hot tech topics are how to cut off suspension bits and weld them back on.

As repeated in this thread so many times... Don't come to my area with your dodgy arse RUFs.

Nice to be here ;)

Couldn't resist dropping in to answer my critic(s) 8O

As mentioned above by other posters, this part is in a critical position and locates the top of the axle, if this were to fail the axle would wrap around and could cause the drive to lose control of the vehicle...

All my parts are over-engineered... this heim block is CNC cut from one solid piece of steel... the bolts are kept to a minimum length to avoid stresses, and the top bolts hold the bottom bolts in position...

What price can you put on your own life and safety, and that of your family in the vehicle...?

i agree with dave on this iv seen a back axle come out due to a thin plate home made spacer and it flipped the truck on its roof. No one was harmed but it could have been so differant if it happened at speed on the highway.

my truck in the uk runs a lot of dave parts, and there all very good quality.

theres a lot of parts ive made myself such as, bumper's, diff gaurd, rock/sill sliders, snorkal, recovery points, roof cage, ect. ect.

but certain parts i would not want to risk making, such as the above part. like dave says, can you put a price on the safety of you and your family????

Hey bits 4 vits here is an idea. if you set the top on an angle so that the ball joint wasn't so maxed out when you made it.

this may help alleviate the stress of over extending it.

So Royce, have you got this heap of shit yet?
When are you buying the part off Greg Tails? He went to all the trouble of getting his supplier to make your part that you requested. Greg paid for the part to be made and you have got bought it from him yet? Rather piss week if you ask me.
