Hey guys,
My G16B is idling like a spastic, everytime I put the clutch in to chage gears it will rev up to 3500rpm.. Its like it is still accelerating... Even on idle it has started to idle up and down from 2000-3000 and I can take off with out using the accelerator and it will want to keep driving..
Sometimes it idles as normal... so its not always constantly doing it... But it idles like a spastic more then it idles normal!
Cheers Shane

Could clutch pedal or cable be dragging on the accelerator cable?
Does it idle slow in neutral, and rev high when foot goes on clutch?

And it still idles fast when in neutral, The times it idles normal is when its at running temperature,,, but mostly still idling heaps fast Its so annoying when I stop at traffic lights and my car is idleing at 2500-3000 rpm,,, especially with a straight through 2 inch exhaust!

Air pockets in cooling system can play tricks on the ecu. Is temperature stable or erratic?
May be wise to keep an eye on coolant level.

Temperature stays the same all the time 1/4 on the gauge.. I will check the coolant level.. is best way to let the car run to operating temp with the radiator cap off to release air pockets?

That works for me usually. I squeeze the rad hose a bit, helps get air out. Have heater on, too, so water/coolant is flowing thru whole system.
