Hi All,

tanshi, 6 motors is a fair size collection! Am I reading this right, 6 motors and none of them have any reed valves? What happened to them all? Do you have any mounting plates for the 4 petal type as between us, we could make up a set?

Assuming that you are rebuilding motors for other people, have you had trouble getting the middle main bearings?

Regards

Greg

yep six is correct. I would like to rebuild them but getting bearings is proving very very difficult. i think i only have one 4 petal type reed valve. i have 3 others which doesnt really give me enough reeds

tanshi,do you happen to have the numbers or the sizes as I have a drawer full of new old stock of bearings, might have some?

Greg

Hi All,

This gets depressing as I have been dismantling and selling off parts of my LJ81 that I drove around Australia in. Certainly had some good times as I generally took the route closest to the ocean and beach hopped Fraser Island, the Coorong and multiple other beaches. Probably should mention Cape York and Gulf country, Kakadu, Litchfield Park, Margaret River and Snowy Mountain high country, there is just too many to mention!

Anyway, along with nosecone, headlight buckets, bullbar and countless other things, here is a photo and link to my LJ80/81 bonnet;

SOLD, this bonnet could tell some stories!

Regards

Greg

HI All,

Ben, I will need to know whether you are after a softtop or hardtop one, there is a difference. Either way you have picked something that I have a plentiful supply.

Regards

Greg

Hi All,

Ben and LJ50 owner, how does $30.00 plus postage sound? The reason I like ebay is there is no need to price things, Hardtop wiper motors outnumber softtop ones 15 to 1 at my place!

Below is a photo and link to my LJ81 rear number plate holder on ebay at the moment:

SOLD, Happy to wave goodbye at the back! :hey:

Regards

Greg

as far as i can tell there are only two of those 6 bearings that you can still get, the other 4 i havent been able to source, there are two bearings that dont have any grooves or locating pins in them, these you can get a generic part for.

Hi All,

Tanshi, I had a look in my drawer and couldn't find any bearings you needed.

However, my search has revealed these LJ Series side blinker lenses still in the packets.

Greg
